HCYES is an initiative of Hillsdale County United Way. Our
goal is help today's youth learn that responsibility and giving back to
our community are important parts of setting the groundwork for a
positive future. Youth United promotes philanthropy, leadership
development and character building among local school age students.
Middle and high school youth have the opportunity to participate in the
Youth United committees that coordinate fundraising events and
volunteer projects throughout Hillsdale County.
Join Us! All youth ages 11-17 are encouraged to join HCYES. We meet every week at the Hillsdale United Way office, 43 North Street. It's important that you are given the opportunity to experience positive interaction in
our community and learn the aspects of leadership and volunteerism.

Thank you! Your support is greatly appreciated!

HCYES group has received certification from the Red Cross through the Red
Cross Babysitter Training Course!
Our youth have completed the course and are working on the details of the
Respite Childcare Program. This program is designed to provide respite care
for grandparents raising their grandchildren. It is the goal of the HCYES to
provide quality, fun, safe, free childcare so that grandparents that have
returned to the parenting role will have some personal time available each
month. We will begin offering "play dates" beginning in September of 2010.
