Hillsdale
County United Way is proud to be a recognized leader in building a
stronger, more self-sufficient Hillsdale County by bringing together
the hearts, minds and resources of all our citizens to make a
measurable impact on our community's most pressing human service
problems.
What we do
Together
with our local agencies we fight poverty in Hillsdale County by meeting
basic needs, improving educational achievement and increasing financial
stability. We measure our own success by how well we deliver and
monitor services provided to Hillsdale County residents. With the help
of local programs funded by our United Way and the generosity of
community members like you we will continue to make a difference in our
community.
How we do it
Funding
– Thanks to the generous support of community members like you, United
Way funds organizations and agencies that serve individuals and
families in three key areas: meeting basic needs, improving educational
achievement and increasing financial stability. We aim to make the
largest and most lasting impact in the community through a competitive
grant funding process that rewards outstanding organizations with
measurable results. In 2009-2010 we partnered with 11
organizations/agencies and contributed designated funds to an
additional 10 organizations.
Community Partnerships
– Big problems require big solutions. United Way builds the kind of
community partnerships necessary to help solve the problems of poverty
today. As a member of local Coalitions and active participants in local
agency meetings, we are able to contribute to the development of local
plans to end homelessness and poverty in Hillsdale County.

positive impact in your community. You can give through payroll deduction, one

community campaign. Every dollar really does make a difference. We
need people like you to help create a successful campaign.
